Constitutional Court Judge, Justice Albie Sachs, will refer to written
submissions to assist him in determining the dispute raised by the
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as to the process used in
the appeal of an Indian player.
"I have considered the papers presented to me and the issues that they
raise. In my view, most of the questions can be determined on the
basis of the information provided in the papers," said Justice Sachs
in his directions to the parties.
Justice Sachs has provided the BCCI and ICC until Wednesday 20 July to
supply succinct additional written submissions concerning the
provisions of the Code of Conduct and the process of imposing
penalties. Each party will then be given until Friday 22 July to reply
in writing to these submissions.
Justice Sachs, the sole member of this Disputes Resolution Committee,
will then consider all the information and will determine the dispute
as soon as is practicable. |
