Canada
and Scotland have both made one change to their initial squads for
the ICC Intercontinental Cup finals in the United Arab Emirates
which begin on 17 November.
Canada’s
Australia-based captain John Davison will miss his team’s
semi-final clash against the United Arab Emirates. A change in the
dates of the tournament to respect the period of mourning for the
former UAE President,
His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al
Nahyan, has caused a conflict with Davison’s
pre-existing contractual commitments with South Australia.
The spinner, who was only ever scheduled to be
in the UAE for the semi-final, has therefore dropped out of the
Canada squad and Canada has not named a replacement at this stage.
The experienced batsman Ian Billcliff will take over the captaincy
duties.
Scotland’s
Warwickshire all-rounder Dougie Brown has been ruled out of the
tournament with an elbow injury. He has been replaced in the squad
by Dewald Nel. |
