The match between ECB and Hong Kong ended in a draw in the ACC Premier League tournament on the third and concluding day played at the Sharjah stadium.
Hussain Butt of Hong Kong played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 218 runs to post a commendable total of 426 for 8 declared in the first innings.
The top order batsmen displayed tremendous form filled with dazzling strokes to smote the ECB bowling attack all over the ground. He punctuated 10 huge sixes and 18 boundaries in his unbeaten knock of 218 to guide the Hong Kong team past the 400 run mark in reply to ECB’s scored of 342 for 7 declared.
ECB’s captain Arshad Ali took 3 for 65 while Ali Asad and Zahid shared two wickets each.
In the second innings, ECB op order batsman Saqib Ali scored a patient knock of 94 runs in 219 deliveries with 16 crisp fours. He and Arshad Ali 54 put on 103 runs for the opening stand. Kashif Khan chipped in 35 runs in the middle order as ECB scored 252 for the loss 7 wickets. Afzaal Hyder,Najeeb Amar and Khalid Hussain bowled for Hong Kong to pick up 2 wkts each.
The match was called of due to rain after lunch time on the concluding day. Hong Kong garnered 15.5 bonus points while ECB got 14.5 points.

Fly Emirates Khrum Khan once again proved his class with a brilliant 129 as Emirates Cricket Board piled up 342 for 7 wkts declared on the opening day of their three day match against Hong Kong in the ACC Premier League tournament played at the Sharjah cricket stadium.
The experienced ECB campaigner played a dominant role to score 129 runs of 138 balls with 14 fours. Shadeep Silva too played a fine innings and was unlucky to miss out on his century when he was caught out for 96. He too hit 12 boundaries and a six. Khuram and Shadeep put on 186 runs 6th wicket partnership as ECB declared their first innings at 342 for 7 declared in 79.1 overs. Earlier Amjad Javed 42 and skipper Arshad Ali 32 gave a sound start.
For Hong Kong Irfan Ahmed picked 2 wkts for 78 while Afzaal Hyder, Khalid Hussain, Amjid Hussain and Nadeem Ahmed picket up one wicket each.
At the end of play Hong Kong were 61 for no loss with Tim Smart on 35 and Nasir Ahmed on 26.
