Dubai, 18 June 2026: The Emirates Cricket Board is organising a seven-match, two-day, white-ball tournament which will be played between four teams comprising elite UAE’s men’s cricketers. This tournament has been designed with an aim of developing the mindset and skills required for longer-format cricket. The tournament begins tomorrow (Friday) at the ICC Academy Oval 1, Dubai. Team Falcons will take on Team Leopards in the opening match.
The tournament will help the batters build and demonstrate the temperament, discipline and game awareness required for long batting partnerships. Bowlers will get an opportunity of focusing on consistency, stamina and endurance while bowling long spells.
The objective is for every player to play for the team, value their wicket, work hard for every run and wicket, and showcase the character, temperament and resilience needed to succeed in multi-day cricket.
Play will begin at 5:00pm local time with each match day lasting six hours and 15 minutes. All seven matches will be played under lights.
Matches format:
- Each tournament match will be played over two days.
- Each day will consist of 80 overs.
- If an innings is completed before the scheduled overs, the next team will start batting immediately (10-minute innings break).
- A new ball will be available after 40 overs (40 overs per ball).
